Bio

“ I believe in teaching the whole child and creating a diverse and accepting classroom community. In my class we embrace the learning process and let go of being right or wrong. Instead, we try to dare greatly, risk the chance of failure, and embrace it as a meaningful part of the learning process.”

Mrs. Geoghegan attended University of California San Diego. She holds a BA in Communications and a Masters in Elementary Education and Reading Instruction. She has experience teaching kindergarten through sixth grade and is starting her twelfth year as an elementary educator. She comes to TVT from Saddleback Valley Unified School District where she taught and served as a grade level leader and arts advantage mentor.

When Mrs. Geoghegan is not teaching she is a busy wife and mom to three young boys. She loves family time, especially trips to Disneyland, the beach, and National Parks. She is an avid reader, loves musical theater and is a lifelong learner. Mrs. Geoghegan is thrilled to be part of the exemplary TVT faculty!

Bio

“I thoroughly enjoy guiding children in their pursuit of knowledge. I want them to learn by example, and through experience. I love to extend students’ knowledge beyond the bounds of the textbook and instill in them a love of learning. My desire is that they become critical, independent and creative thinkers, who are willing to take risks and not be afraid of failure. I want them to develop grit, perseverance and a positive growth mindset, so that they reach their highest potential and succeed in the world outside the classroom.”

Mrs. Peddie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and a post graduate Higher Diploma in Education from the Johannesburg College of Education. She also has a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She has over seventeen years of teaching experience, teaching fourth through eighth grades. Before teaching at TVT, she taught at Emmarentia Primary School, a public school in Johannesburg, South Africa, at the Jonathan Netanyahu Academy, a Jewish Day School in San Antonio, Texas and at Morasha Jewish Day School in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

“I have a passion for helping each child progress in all areas of their development and I strive to create a nurturing classroom community where each child feels accepted and safe to take risks in their learning. I encourage opportunities for collaboration and creative problem-solving, while promoting a positive growth mindset. Watching my students accomplish their goals brings me a sense of purpose and joy.”

Ms. Pham earned a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting at California State University, Long Beach, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at Concordia University, Irvine.

In her spare time, Ms. Pham enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys hiking, reading, and going to the beach.
Kassandra Virag

Bio

Mrs. Virag has a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Masters degree in Management and Administration of Educational Programs. She also has a Multiple Subject Credential and over 15 years of experience in literacy education. She is a certified literacy coach and has had experience teaching grades K-5. Before teaching at TVT, she has had the pleasure of teaching grades K-5 in public and private schools. She looks forward to continuing to build a rich literary environment and fostering a love of reading in our students.

She was born and raised in Orange County, California. In her spare time, she enjoys being a mama of two young children, traveling and drinking good coffee.
