The Coastline Case Studies Program on January 29, 2025, is for 11th-grade students and families to meet collectively as a mock admissions committee.
In those committees, participants will be guided by current college admissions representatives who will discuss mock college applications. As a group, participants will decide which students to accept, waitlist, and deny. The goal of the exercise is to provide attendees with a better understanding of the ways in which a college application is reviewed. Notably, groups will address the themes associated with a student's application, potential errors often made during submission, understanding institutional needs by a college, and the nuances that go into the application evaluation.
Following the case studies, a college fair will take place with over 60 colleges in attendance. The majority of these representatives will be the points of contact reviewing college applications from the San Diego area next year, so don’t miss the opportunity to introduce yourself, demonstrate interest, and ask questions.
This event is open to 11th-grade students/families from TVT Community Day School, Sage Hill School, and St. Margaret's Episcopal School.
