“I thoroughly enjoy guiding children in their pursuit of knowledge. I want them to learn by example, and through experience. I love to extend students’ knowledge beyond the bounds of the textbook and instill in them a love of learning. My desire is that they become critical, independent and creative thinkers, who are willing to take risks and not be afraid of failure. I want them to develop grit, perseverance and a positive growth mindset, so that they reach their highest potential and succeed in the world outside the classroom.”
Mrs. Peddie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and a post graduate Higher Diploma in Education from the Johannesburg College of Education. She also has a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She has over seventeen years of teaching experience, teaching fourth through eighth grades. I am and have been passionate about caring for people since I can remember. I have been in healthcare for 30 years. I spent many of those years in a family care facility caring for patients of all ages although I’ve always had a soft spot for my pediatric patients ( my kids and babies). I’ve also worked in an urgent care facility for over a year. Since coming to TVT, I have fallen in love with all of my students and wanted them to feel comfort and relief when they come and see me. It gives me great joy to see them smile after they’ve had an injury or illness that I helped them with or if they just needed a little nurturing.
I am married to my husband George for 27 years and have three children. Two daughters ages 26 and 18 and one son age 12.
We enjoy traveling as a family. I also enjoy watching my son play baseball, sewing, and camping. I love music and love to dance.
